Cedar Bark Weaving Paddle Art

Artist wants to remain anonymous but will say she is from Neah Bay, USA. Sacred Art put on an art show in Nanaimo, BC, Canada in 1998. The vendor┬ápresented the paddle to us as payment for their artist booth. The artist stated she learned the art of cedar bark weaving from three generations of family dating back into the 1800’s. She told us it took quite a bit of time to produce this item about 10 years ago. This dates the piece around 1988.
